# Pool Settings

Each pool has its own **settings** that can be monitored and adjusted as needed.

* **Settings Menu**:\
  The **settings menu** provides the following options:
  * **Edit Pool Settings**:\
    Here, you can update the core settings of the pool, including the **duration**, **APY**, and any other parameters such as available amounts and collateral requirements.
  * **Disable Pool**:\
    If you no longer wish to participate in the pool, you can **disable** it. Disabling the pool will prevent any new users from joining or lending/borrowing in it, while existing transactions may still remain active.
  * **Edit Pool Profile**:\
    You can also customize the **profile** of the pool by clicking on the **Edit Pool Profile** option. This allows you to:
    * Change the **pool name** to something more recognizable or relevant.
    * Update the **banner image** and other visual elements to better reflect the pool's branding and appearance.

By managing these settings, you can ensure that your pool remains aligned with your goals and preferences, while also allowing you to make quick adjustments if needed.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.rain.fi/account/my-pools/pool-settings.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
